Boston Robot Hackers is happy to inform you of our October monthly meeting. Our main speaker Arjun Viswanathan will present a talk titled "Reinforcement Learning for Multimodal Locomotion"

When: Thursday, October 15, 2026, 7:00pm
Where: Artisans Asylum, 96 Holton Street, Allston

Arjun Viswanathan, who works on reinforcement learning for robot behavior at Boston Dynamics, will speak about Reinforcement Learning for Multimodal Locomotion — teaching a legged-aerial robot not just how to walk, but which mode of locomotion to use at all, the topic of his MS thesis at Northeastern's Silicon Synapse Lab.

Yun Chang, a robotics researcher who spent a decade at MIT's SPARK Lab under Professor Luca Carlone, will speak about robot scene understanding for extreme environments — from the DARPA Subterranean Challenge to autonomy for heavy equipment at their current startup.
